Okay, now onto Foto Freebies Fridays!

I thought it would be fun to create something a little different!
I have created a Free Facebook Cover - Website Header - Blog Header.
There are two colors available.
One in the original blue tones and a black and white version.

I created the above Facebook Header Sample using some sweet images of our cat Zai, and our dog Milla; noting the ideal spaces for text.

The cover templates measure 851 x 315 pixels, and there is space designated on a seperate layer for your profile image, if you so desire.

These are Layered PSD files, editable and usable in photoshop elements.
You can add your own images to the clipping mask layers.
If you have never used clipping mask layers in Photoshop Elements here is a quick rundown how:

1. Open the Layered PSD File Facebook template you wish to use in Photoshop Elements.
2. Choose and open the images in photoshop elements you would like to use in the template.

3. Drag the images into the Facebook template, putting them each on their own layer, and arrange the image layers each above one of the circle layers.

4A. Now click and select your first image in the layer pane and hold down Ctrl-G (Cmd-G in Mac), to group it with the circle clipping mask layer below the image.
4B. Click to select the top layer of a pair of layers you want to group, and click Create Clipping Mask.

5. With the image layer still selected you can transform, move and resize your image to fit the circle. Click the green checkmark when done.

6. Repeat for all 5 circle clipping masks.

You can also add text, color, or digital papers to the clipping masks instead of images, using the same technique - directions.

7. If adding text to the the  blank template spaces, as shown above, just add a new layer for each section of text and arrange the text layer to the front or just slide the text layers on to be top so all text is visible.

8. Flatten and save! In addition to saving it as a JPG file format, I usually save a copy in a PSD file format. That way I have a workable psd file for making changes or corrections at a later time if needed.
